Curiosity 03 | Solstice Reset
As we celebrate the summer solstice, we invite you to take a moment to pause and join us as we reflect on spring and set intentions for the new season. The 2022 summer solstice was on June 21st and marked the start of summer along with the longest day (of sunlight) of the year.

Describe three significant moments from the spring:
I cut ties to negative attachments that had dragged my soul for a while, completed a half-year-long infusion therapy for my autoimmune disease (I felt really free!), and opted for a healthier lifestyle routine.
Take note, how have you changed since winter?
As there are brighter days here in Seattle, I feel more alive and excited to do things outside the house.
Have you been feeling present? Why or why not?
Yes! I’ve been practicing a type of bodywork called “Somat,” which has helped me feel grounded in my body.
What has been limiting you or holding you back?
Feeling not good enough.
Intentions (Future June-August 2022):
What do you want to manifest this summer? What are you longing for?
Stable health condition. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been going through Graves’ Disease and every single one of its symptoms & side effects. That has greatly affected my quality of life and my ability to function in daily activities. As things gradually improve, I’m hoping it can stay that way, and I can slowly re-introduce myself to the activities I enjoyed before the ailments.
What’s one thing you will make a priority to improve upon?
Better eating choices. It’s hard to be mindful of what we eat when we’re busy, but as they say, “We are what we eat,” and it affects our body, mind, and soul.
How will you be present with yourself, your body, and your feelings?
Take a step back before reacting to things and setting boundaries to toxic/negative forces.
What is your summer affirmation?
Nobody knows who I am better than myself, so other people’s opinions don’t validate/refute me.

Describe three significant moments from the spring:
The spring season brought exciting career opportunities, precious moments with family, and lots of love and celebration (birthdays, weddings, etc.).
Take note, how have you changed since winter?
I’m more confident in my capabilities in work and life, and I’ve built better habits for my mental health.
Have you been feeling present? Why or why not?
I felt present in March and April, but towards the end of May, I noticed auto-pilot starting to turn on due to a busy schedule and more life events than usual. I try to take note during these times and practice being able to recognize and identify when this happens.
What has been limiting you or holding you back?
Not listening to what my body is craving—building in more time for rest, self-care, hobbies, creative outlets, and time with friends.
Intentions (Future June-August 2022):
What do you want to manifest this summer? What are you longing for?
I’m looking forward to a slower work schedule in the coming months and an equal focus of time and energy on nurturing my personal and professional life. I long for summer days with nothing on my to-do list other than just to be.
What’s one thing you will make a priority to improve upon?
Positive self-talk. It’s easy to get stuck in negative thoughts. As a usually positive person, when my schedule is packed, it’s easy to let a few bouts of negative thought patterns take over and significantly impact me.
How will you be present with yourself, your body, and your feelings?
I will honor my boundaries and listen deep down to what I’m craving.
What is your summer affirmation?
Stop searching; you already have exactly what you need, but don’t let your curiosity waver.

This spring, I had a family and friends reunion, started a new job, and took time to appreciate the flowers blooming.
Take note, how have you changed since winter?
I have happily swapped my wardrobe for lighter/thinner seasonal pieces and have been enjoying outdoor activities.
Have you been feeling present? Why or why not?
Yes and no. I’m not too worried about the future or shadowed by the past. However, sometimes the future and past play a significant role in my decision-making process.
What has been limiting you or holding you back?
I worry about the future and making big changes in the present.
Intentions (Future June-August 2022):
What do you want to manifest this summer? What are you longing for?

I will make a list of priorities – and get things done right while feeling overwhelmed less.

Describe three significant moments from the spring:
I noticed the tulips and spring flowers grow, appreciated the rainbows and sunshine after the rain passed, and took time to see the sun's rays through my bedroom windows.
Take note, how have you changed since winter?
I'm noticing more liveliness in me. I'm eager to spend time outside since the sun is out.
Have you been feeling present? Why or why not?
I’ve been more present than before. It has been easier for me to be engaged and focused on the things happening in my daily life. Maybe because the days feel longer, I feel like I have the extra time to slow down, take everything in and be present.
What has been limiting you or holding you back?
Inability to accept that "It is what it is." We know we can't control things but will always try to find control in parts of our lives like time, the past, the future, other people's minds, weather, and traffic. It can be difficult to accept everything in its entirety and move on.
Intentions (Future June-August 2022):
What do you want to manifest this summer? What are you longing for?
Abundance. Start the day on a positive note, set my intention for the day, then end my day with gratitude. I want to feel the fullness of each passing day and love my life - to enjoy a day of work, vacation, rest, or even a day of stress.
What's one thing you will make a priority to improve upon?
I look to improve my motivation and ability to maintain and continue something. It’s easy for me to start but challenging to continue and push through.
How will you be present with yourself, your body, and your feelings?
Going for a walk or sitting in the park, being in nature, and breathing fresh air. I’ve started going to the gym and will continue to exercise regularly to be more present in my body.
What is your summer affirmation?
I am joyfully attracting an adventure to somewhere new that will open my heart and energize my spirit.
